blueandwhite
For the last few weeks I have been collecting two eggs a day, assuming all girls were laying brown eggs. But today I found a blue egg! It must be Sandy's as I know Phoebe (my original) lays brown and I had seen Storm also lay a brown one. Sandy was routing about in the nest box today and I had already collected two brown ones, so it must be hers. Sadly it was on the patio and has a break in the shell. But still a lovely surprise - so pretty.

Space Chick
Different egg colours is the business We have blue, green, white, cream, normal brown, dark brown, and speckled brown in our flock My nephew (aged nearly 3) goes to a nursery a few days a week. They give them breakfast. One day they gave them boiled egg and soldiers.... My nephew asked could he have a green egg and not a brown one. The woman told him not to be silly as there was no such thing as green eggs. My nephew got very cross telling her that there were green eggs. When my brother in law went to pick him up after work the woman told him how my nephew had an "over active imagination" that day. I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall my when BIL told her "Yes you can get green eggs, he has them from his Aunties chickens". She learned a valuable lesson that day

chickencam
We recently bought two Skylines and are hoping for a blue or green egg, but it is not looking good, so far we have had a tiny very speckled egg and a pinky one that I think came from the Light Sussex that we bought at the same time. The pinky one that we had today was 63g not bad for a first attempt

chickencam
I am one very happy Skyline owner, one of mine has now laid two blue eggs, the second one slightly more blue than the first. The other one is laying pinky eggs and my Light Sussex is laying large pinky eggs.
