rachelfisher83
Hi I was at Nottcutts Garden Centre, Oxford on Friday looking at the gorgeous 10 week old silkies and young ducklings swimming in their paddling pool and got chatting to a lady about how highly addictive keeping chickens is She told me she had just bought 2x Fertilised Duck Eggs from a market in Headington and going to give it a whirl, incubating them the old fashioned way....in the airing cupboard hahah. We also spoke about eglu's, walk in runs, forums etc which has lead me here. If its you....please post as id love to know how your getting on and whether you end up with your 2 little ducklings

soapdragon
Rachel......if you are close to Nottcutts do you know about Acorn Nursery on the Thame Road halfway between Little Milton and Stadhampton? They have lots of lovely chickens and are well worth a visit! Those of us from the forum who met up at Newington last year went on to Acorn - Dogmother bought a large Belfast sink to plant up; I think we all managed to resit the temptation of the gorgeous chicks. They have a little tea room too and we did talk about possibly arranging another meet there..... ?
