redbug
Saw adverts for this looks quite interesting. What dogs get up to while we are out? On at 8 pm. Edited: Monday night Edited October 13, 2013 by Guest
Ain't Nobody Here
Sounds like that programme where people spied on their kids on holiday . Could be very entertaining . Now Riley is so old I know exactly what he gets up to. Absolutely nothing . Edited October 13, 2013 by Guest
redbug
My two sleep or a least think so always in the same place I left them.
Lavenders_Blue
Thanks for the heads up, I'll watch this. I always imagine that Tango gets up to mischief while I'm out, but in reality I expect she just sleeps interspersed with the odd woof at suspicious noises and the postman

Mercedes55
I watched it last night and found it quite upsetting how so many dogs get separation anxiety when left. We do leave our dog on her own a little bit, but no more than maybe an hour a couple of times a week when we go shopping. She loves her crate so we put her in there with some toys and she seems fine, although according to that programme an awful lot of people assumed their dogs were fine when they weren't
Ain't Nobody Here
It was upsetting, wasn't it . Those poor doggies . I'm pretty confident Riley is happy when we're away ( ).
redbug
I only watch it last night on 4 on demand. Yes quite sad how the dogs barked and howelled when left and the pacing up of down. I don't think my 2 howel or bark when I'm out. Always in deep sleep when i come back. Would like to put cameras to find out otherwise. Interesting the training ideas given. Kongs are very good and hard wearing.
Lavenders_Blue
I'm as confident as I can be that Tango is fine when I go out. From day one, we gave her something to keep her occupied when we went out - a treat ball, stuffed kong, long lasting chew etc. Now when she sees us getting ready to go out she jumps up and down with excitement because she knows a tasty treat is on the way Her reaction when we get back depends on how close to tea time it is and therefore how hungry she is feeling A 5pm return tends to be accompanied by lots of jumping up and down, spinning in circles and loud squeaking. If we go out for the evening and come back late, she may or may not bother to come down the stairs to greet us (where she has taken herself off to bed for the night!)
