Mrs_B
Just wanted to share a pic as I haven't been online for a while I think I have gone too far spoiling the chooks - I have various things in the WIR to keep them entertained (because of the pecking issues obviously ) and I bought two bird mobiles off of the Omlet website recently and I proudly hung them up for the two groups of ladies. Only the Lavenders like it though! But they adore rainbow chard and leaf veg so secretly I think that was what interested them http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/emmachooks/media/20131026_145148_zps4ab52a05.jpg.html Just as a side note - the chicken with the orange band (Audrey) is definitely a hen right? Just suspicious lol!! x
jacquiefrost
Love the pictures. They are very lucky girls, and gorgeous too. I say you can't spoil them enough!

Luvachicken
What lucky girls Your run is similar to mine - except I have bigger wire, no lovely rainbow mobile and no lovely wood chip stuff on the floor - so not that similar really
Mrs_B
Thank you so much for your lovely comments OH and I don't have children, so the hens get money and love spent on them. OH and I also live with my parents as I am disabled so the chickens get spoilt by everyone and as I am always home I think too much and find new ways to 'do up' their area I am sure the chooks aren't too bothered about the rainbow mobiles but I like them at least The WIR was a huge family effort contribution wise, I'd definitely recommend a WIR to anyone if the funds and space is there x
The Dogmother
They only see colours in a muted fashion, much the same as colours look to us at dusk. The only one they see clearly is red. Sparkly things attract them, but it's best to change stuff around as they will start to ignore it after a while.
