mollyripkim
My bantam orp recovered from a bad dose of myco and appeared back to normal for a week. Got up yesterday to a house full of black feathers and her looking sorry for herself, picked her up and her feathers are coming out literally in handfuls, she will be bald soon if it continues. She had a light moult earlier this year but nothing like this. Can illness cause such a heavy moult? She also had clear fluid coming from her beak so massaged her crop yesterday and gave her probiotics and daktarin oral gel, crop ok tonight and has food it in, I will check again I the morning. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am getting so worried about her.

There is some info and useful advise on moults here which should help http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=28893 Hopefully there will be signs of new feathers soon
mollyripkim
Thanks Sandy, I have had a look and it seems she is having a really heavy moult, I have just picked her up and there are new feathers coming through but she is so unhappy with herself again this morning.
