Lewis, I think you have been studying since I first came on this forum. You've worked so hard to achieve your goals and I'm really impressed.

Regarding my chicken escape the other day I suddenly realised that nobody in my family or me or on this forum asked 'why did the chicken cross the road?' I feel like that was a missed opportunity. One of my boys visited Alice Springs a few years ago and ordered a crocodile burger but forgot to add 'and make it snappy'. He quite regrets that.

I think Squirt can answer that question, Patsylabby.  She's off for a tipple!  Actually a very nicely edited home-made calendar that my Canadian cuz loves doing for Christmas.  She does it on the Chinese new year themes.  That was the year of the chicken and my girls featured a fair few times!  We had to match the old sayings to the photos for extra fun.

Thank goodness it wasn't to see her 'flat mate' - groan O.o

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!  Nope - definitely no flat mates in the photos!  Or Gregory Peck!

Yum to the crocodile burger - had alligator steak before - very yum - tastes like . . . . not entirely like chicken - a little haddocky/chicken

LEWISSSSSSSSSSSSS!  How did it go?

Luckily the test was fine so now I just have the Final in a few weeks! Chicken diseases are easy until you have to learn names of viruses and aetiological agents

We had a trip to a heavy horse farm yesterday to do pregnancy detection, they had hundreds of horses and lots of foals :D

You can do it Lewis! Chicken diseases are easy... you have Attentionseekeritis and Dramaqueenitis. And then there is Spoiledchicken disease.

OMG!  Please pass Lewis, my chooks have all three of these diseases!

Sadly not! Just the final for our Diseases of Poultry course. I have a few finals this summer and then two State exams which are our proper finals.

I start rotations in September with Horses, Ruminants, Pigs then Small Animals (in that order) with a State exam after each block and then hopefully I qualify next summer! :D

Golly, you seem to have been doing it forever! Good luck though - it's what you've always wanted to do, so it must be a relief to be enjoying it at last.

Rosie has her end of year exams coming up; first year of Biology at Edinburgh with 3 years specialising in Molecular Genetics

I think this is what you're looking for Valkyrie

I love how Englishmen dance with hankies and Scotsmen dance with swords! :lol:

 They have to have the hankies to patch up the stick damaged fingers!  You should see them whack!  Some do it gently while others (probably very inebriated - Morris, cider, beer, ale - you name it, they consume it!) really use a bit of force!

Border morris is very violent! There's a great group called Beltane from Newton Abbot and they really give it welly - black coats and top hats with blacked faces!

If anyone on the forum is keen on such stuff (folk, morris of all descripions etc) there is a fab free festival called Bunkfest in Wallingford, just south of Oxford over the first weekend in September.

Very wise CT..........there is a saying by a famous person (so famous I clearly cannot recall who they actually were :$ but it might have been Oscar Wilde) to the effect that 'one should try everything once except incest and morris dancing'  (hope that doesn't offend anyone O.o esp any morris dancers)

Did you hear the joke about the morris dancer? He fell off the bonnet. Or the one about the tap dancer who fell into the sink?

Mayday in Padstow then?  We spend the day there some years back and it was wild.

That’s right. My partners family are from there so we spend the day (and sort of the night before and day after) following the blue ribbon oss (also known as the peace oss).

This isn’t Morris dancing and there are no hankies involved!
