Luvachicken
Yesterday was so lovely I actually got to peg out some washing. My washing pole is right next to the chicken run and as I walked to do the washing, I looked in and there lying on the floor was what I thought was a dead chicken. I looked again only to realise that it was actually half a pumpkin that they had been nibbling - it was the same colour as Lucie. Later in the day, hubby was looking out of the conservatory window at the chickens in the run (I hadn't told him about the dead pumpkin I'd seen) and he said " What's wrong with that chicken lying on the floor ? " I had to laugh out loud and explain that I had seen and thought the same thing earlier I will be throwing it away later - don't want anyone else thinking I have dead chickens in my run
coco
I've got two 'dead chickens' in my run, I suppose I had better take them out before the neighbours think they really are dead chickens.
kinsk
Mine didn't like the 'dead chicken' I gave them so it went to the pigs instead.
Chortle Chook
So glad it was just a pumpkin
libby22
I laughed so hard when I read this The things the girls do to us! I did chase full pelt up the garden once after an escapee, only to find that it was a large terracotta plant pot
