bluekarin
Does anyone know of a good fabric paint that glows in the dark? I would like to use it on my dogs coat, so will need to be washable. I have just had a look, but there are quite a few so not sure what to go for. I would prefer it to be glow in the dark rather than reflective as when she is in the shrubbery it can be quite hard to find her
bluekarin
Shame this couldn't have been left in the nesting box for a bit longer. More chance of someone seeing it and hopefully knowing what I am after
Couperwife
I don't know about paint, but what about those glow in the dark sticker things that you can get for kids bedrooms, you could sew them on the coat? then you could put stars and planets on your dogs coat and freak people out I think glow in the dark coats are a fab idea Cathy x
Charlottechicken
Sorry, no recommendations, but have you tried ebay?

Didn't think of that Most of the glow in the dark ( from now on to known as GITD) stars are a hard plastic. A tad difficult to sew on. I have had a look at ebay CharlotteChicken, but it is hard to know which one to go for, for what I need it for
Couperwife
if you heat up a spikey thing (skewer?) and push it through, then you will be able to sew it on cathy x

WitchHazel
Maybe email one of the companies that advertises glow in the dark paint, to ask them if it would work in th eway you need? Here's one (you have probably already seen it!) http://www.glow.co.uk/tulip-glow-fabric-paint.html Good luck!
Bramble
You can get visi-vest type things for dogs - or you could even by a human visi-vest and cut the hi-viz bits off and stick them on your dog's coat! Don't forget to post piccies when you've made your creation - you will have a very cool hound!!!!
bluekarin
Tulip paint were one of the ones I looked at. Have contacted them now to see if it is suitable or if they know of another that would be. Gosh! An awful lot of pressure now to create something half good I know you can buy high vis dog coats but we have a lovely one and I don't want to have too many. I think if I need to buy a new one, it will be a more full coverage waterproof one as her tum still gets soaked, and on a show type cocker with the feathers, that's one soggy doggie I will have a look around town and see what I can find that can be repurposed
freddie
Try local recycle for a discarded hi vis jacket that can be cut up and re purposed!! Let's see when you've done, please!!
Lavenders_Blue
How about one of those flashing collars you can buy, or the flashing lights you can clip onto collars? You can buy from eBay for a couple of ££.
bluekarin
They are a good idea too. Probably will get one so she can wear when it isn't raining. If it ever stops that is!
