daxigirl
My Favererolles eggs hatched yesterday. I had no idea how fluffy a chick could be. It's as if they're super fuzzy, they've even got wee beards. Really cute. Still too useless to put a picture on! but more than happy to send anyone else a picture to put on for me, hint hint. Choo-chook
We're on holiday with dodgy Internet or I would have offered I'm dying to see these chicks, they are on my wish list for the future. Are they easy to sex? Can't wait for the pics, hope someone comes to your rescue soon.
daxigirl
They're all the colour of butter so not sexable at the mo. They're salmon so my theory is that the boys will be a different colour to the girls, fingers crossed. Realised they have little hamster cheeks this afternoon. daxigirl
Can't say I notice them anymore, squeaking that is. I did find Dolly's lot rather loud this evening at bedtime. She abandoned them and returned to her bigirl gang this afternoon. They looked really rather small and lost bless them and unsure of where to go or what to do. Will pm you in the morning and then send some Faverolles photos. What a star thank you.

daxigirl
No Dolly Doo has left the coop without so much as a twitch of her fluffy butt. Her offspring are 7 weeks now so have got over it and like having the space to themselves. The Faverolles have turned out to be quite pecky. I think that they are 2 girls and 5 boys as the girls have got full wings and tails where the boys have only got little wings with a black bar. The Araucanas all have wings and tails but it may not count when it comes to sexing them that way. The 4 Japanese are just as cute as buttons and have come out a different colour again to their older siblings. I tried sending pictures but they wouldn't go.
