Chortle Chook
My passport has expired and I find it hard to take time off work (just too scared of the work pile up) but I love taking day or weekend trips around the UK. I've lived abroad and travelled quite a lot when I was younger, but for now I am quite happy with the variety in this country - even on my very doorstep. We are so lucky in the UK to have such amazing changes within just 10 miles or so. One day, however, I mean to travel again and go to Norway and Cambodia, South America and Northern India on the sort of trips where you do things like walk lots to see a rare tulip
mullethunter
Related but not exactly on topic...I had to go to the Lake District for work a fortnight ago. Never been before and was blown away by how stunning it was. I wished I'd taken leave up there too. Would REALLY recommend.
