Jules.
I am not in your area, so can't help, but i looked Aubiose up on the internet which provided me with a phone number to find out my nearest stockist. www.aubiose.co.uk

The Dogmother
Hi Kim I live in Banbury, and the Bodicote farm shop stocks both Hemcore (English) and Aubiose (French). You should be able to get it closer to you though.
Ladylucan
I went into my local pet /farm shop and they ordered it in for me, only took a couple of days, I havent laid it down yet, but hopefully in the next couple of days

nicky27
Hi everyone , I'm a little confused about the hemcore. It sounds like it's good stuff - however do you use it in the eglu - perhaps in the nest-box? or is it there instead of wood-chips in the run?- We are at the point of filling the permanent run area with something, so thought I ought to check first!! Probably a bit of a strange question but just wasn't sure! Cheers, Nicky
Kim Gardner
Thanks for that folks .Is Hempcore exactly the same then? Kim Mrs.Frisby Marjory R.I.P. Clary
Jules.
I believe Hemcore has citronella alreay in it, & it is British
Ladylucan
Well i have laid down the Auboise today, and after going from soil/earth with bark to the Auboise , it looks like it has been snowing in the run, even the girls have got their sunglasses on it is soooo bright in there, I have taken a piccy so will post when i have downloaded it. x Def seems better stuff...... impressed so far. Kim Gardner
I'd be really interested to know how it goes with the aubiose Tracey.I've got the girls on dirt and bark at the moment, but I'm seriously considering laying paving slabs and using aubiose or hemcore. The Dogmother
Hemcore and Aubiose are basically the same stuff, Hemcore is Bristish and Aubiose is French. I find hemcore to be co"Ooops, word censored!"r shredded, it is supposed to have citronella added to deter flies, but I can't smell it. I use it in the run, nest and poo tray, it composts like a dream and the bunnies like it in their rablu too.
Helen&Lee
When I phoned our local Countrywide today to check on availability of Auboise the assistant told me that they would be doing a special offer on Auboise in the next few weeks. She wasn't sure what it was exactly - possibly a 3 for the price of 2? Having not have the opportunity to use it yet (my cube and chooks arrive NEXT Monday ) I'm guessing three bales of the stuff would last a pretty long time! The Dogmother
They do last for ages Helen, and the bales are pretty big, so you'd need somewhere to store them. It is compressed in the bale and lasts for ever.
starboyhull
I would think 3 bales would last a VERY long time You will also need a fair bit of space to keep 3 too....
Ladylucan
I had ordered 4 !!!!, i managed to put 3 down and the fourth one is being used as a step for the girls to get into their run, ( the other way is closed cos of the babies being in there)
