Just up the road is Kinsale which when I went many moons ago for St Patricks weekend with friends was beautiful We stayed in Waterford and Cork, so a bit far east for you. We did visit the Jamison distillery and went up a mountain which was freezing so thank goodness for a tot of whiskey to warm us up We also went to Blarney Castle where most but not me kissed the stone. It is just beautiful scenery down there so enjoy. I am sure people will be more than willing to suggest places to visit while you are there too.
