I've been out getting things off my shopping list for them but it feels like so long to wait it's killing me! (Don't get them till 15th October! !!!) Sure it will be a vey enjoyable experience, particularly the arrival of the FIRST EGG !!! When we got our first chickens it was very unplanned. Friend called us one evening saying she had some 7 week old chicks called 'Orpingtons' and was moving house so did we want them? We picked them up a few days later then started a very steep learning curve indeed! Even basic questions hadn't been considered like "where do they sleep?" and "what do they eat?"
