Soo66
Brand new chicken woman, two girls, had them a month now. Rita has been laying for a week, Bette laid her first two days ago...proud mum. She laid her second today and it's brought tears to my eyes! Is it normal for eggs to be such varying sizes?
jeshen
Ouch! Poor Bette. I guess eggs do enlarge as hens mature, but that's quite a jump in size between numbers 1 and 2!

Positive Thinker
It's definitely a double yolk. Geraldine laid one after a few weeks of laying but never had one since
Soo66
It was a double...I was prepared..thanks. I still had two eggs though! So double egg and chips with three dippy yolks, cue applause for Bette.
