chuckmum6
Yes, it will be keyhole surgery, OH has a huge scar from his open surgery appendectomy. The op coincides with the Easter hols, so I do indeed hope to be cosseted, I warned OH tonight! Thank you for the kind wishes.
Ain't Nobody Here
Just catching up with this! Best of luck with your op, what a journey you've had to get to a diagnosis .
Angie
Metronidazole is well known for making one feel wretched , dizzy , nausea and vomiting. Shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach .Which if feeling yukki to start with isn't always good. And if given IV, usually an anti emetic is given with it. So glad that this will be resolved for you, mine grumbled for months, I had them out at 4.35 am on the 6th june 1976. I have a very neat six inch scar on my brief line so not noticeable . Didn't do keyhole back then. I hope you don't get any worse and it is bearable until your surgery date . And afterwards enjoy the rest . Alis girls
Horrible things - and dont them down with a G&T or any other alcohol - not good. Hope all goes well with op and you are up and about soon. Get OH to pamper you. Hugs coming your way.
Valkyrie
Just make sure they have actually removed it - or is it an afternoon session? At least you won't have to bother with that ever again. All the best and hope you aren't suffering too much before then.
chuckmum6
Just got home from my stay in hospital and returned minus my blocked appendix. Very sore still as it was removed less than 24hrs ago, but hopefully this is now an end to it! Thank you everyone for your good wishes

chuckmum6
Thank you all very much! I am starting to feel better since I stopped taking the codeine tablets, I was given by the hospital, they gave me stinking migraines and made me feel sick . I am managing on ibuprofene and paracetamol without the horrid side effects.
The Dogmother
Glad to her 'tis sorted and you're on the mend. Codeine is an opiate, so potentially addictive, and can also cause nasty side effects. I am allergic to morphine, so can't take any opiates at all.

Valkyrie
Hubby's cousin is allergic - and it's much worse since first diagnosed. Not good when having knee surgery and neck surgery and now possibly hip surgery! It was first discovered when she was at the dentist for wisdom tooth removal. And even then the docs don't read the warning on her notes! Might be an idea to get it checked in case you are allergic.
