LittleLau
Well after having my first chickens for about five weeks, I thought I should put my nerves to one side and finally let them out for some free ranging. So paranoid that they would suddenly decide to fly over the fence and disappear, but the ladies all behaved well. Just an hour or so today, but they seemed so happy to be out scratching and pooping. Have uploaded a little video to remember their first outing.
mullethunter
Lovely girls and yes they do look happy. That's a very posh slide and stuff - did they get a go on that?

Haha not yet, but I am wondering once they gain a little more confidence, how I am going to keep them out of that area.
mullethunter
You'll probably have to get a fence

PixieDust
They are lovely. What breed are they? My girls got 5 minutes FR the other day. I was so nervous that they would scarper. I now know they will come running back into the run when mealworms are on offer. Also gave them a treat ball of mealworms so being locked up again wasn't such a huge disappointment. I have a video but it was too large for photobucket. I might pop it on YouTube when I feel a bit brighter.

LittleLau
Great garden and your hens are so pretty ,,,, def interested in what breed you have,,, They're Wynadotte Bantams. The kids now have to share their garden with three chickens and a dog, so I feel like I'm on constant poo patrol.
