spott
I have gone (mostly) paleo- i found cutting out carbs and sugar really improved my health. I still have dairy, though. Tonight we had pork belly strips and roasted butternut squash for dinner, and hubby asks what kind of meat is this? Pork belly, i reply. Why can't we have pork steak? Because this is what came in the box.. After a brief explanation of meat box schemes he asks why i can't just buy meat in the supermarket... Here comes my mistake: this is more paleo, i reply. He thinks for a sec and says i don't think pigs were around in the palaeolithic age. I'm a little fed up with having to defend my dinner choices and reply: sorry they were all out of dinosaur steaks! He says no way, how come Bernard Matthews manage to supply evey iceland in the uk, and your fancy box man is out?!? I was speechless! I was laughing so hard i could hardly finish my dinner. Needless to say there will be no reformed breaded turkey dinosaurs gracing my dinner table anytime soon, i'm sticking with nice organic meat. The Dogmother
I'd tell the ignoramus that he needs to get his spear and kill his own dinner
