The Dogmother
For every (snow) cloud there's a silver lining! It is getting colder and we had some snow flurries earlier.
soapdragon
We had a few flakes around 2.30/3pm but nothing more since.I love the colour of the sky just before it snows....a sort of leaden grey with a very diffused light.
Valkyrie
We had a bit of sky dandruff this afternoon. But it wasn't much. My daughter had a bit of a layer where she lives. And a tad nippy!

mullethunter
A few mm of snow and hail overnight that froze and all of mid and west Cornwall was absolute chaos this morning Over 30 road accidents and gridlock all over the place - hopeless
The Dogmother
We had some heavy snow, briefly last night, then a hard frost. the bottom of my road has a slightly raised junction - it's a quiet side road and this stops eejits racing around, but it gets like a skid pan in the cold weather; neighbour completely lost it on the raised bit this morning, no traction at all so I had to tow them off Been lovely today, but VERY cold. Now clear and -1deg.
The Dogmother
Was getting rather warm doing the housework, so I checked the thermometer; it's 6deg! Sounds like it's getting windy out there too.

Valkyrie
Very cold yesterday with a dusting of frozen snow - didn't even melt until this morning! The birds water (wild ones) had to be thawed twice this morning! But we did have sun and rain drops! Clouded over this afternoon and it seemed to get warmer. Thrill a minute type weather - not! Roll on summer. Although spring must be definitely be springing - the squirrels were having quite a session in the oak tree! I suppose it makes a change from pigeons and sparrows. Valkyrie
Cold but not as bad - no frozen water. But the wind picked up and boy was that freezing. Brought a bit of sleet too!
The Dogmother
Lady in the Post Office told me that her daughter, who lives in the Loire valley, had 12 solid hours of snow and there was nearly a metre of the stuff on the ground!!! The Dogmother
I half expected to wake up to some snow - the forecast had predicted sleet and snow through the night. We have gusty winds, bright skies and sunshine!
GrannyTrish
Another lovely day but boy oh boy that wind must be coming straight down from the Arctic! Brrrrrr
mullethunter
Blustery with lovely sunshine and horrid hail showers. Feels warm in the sunshine but that might be because I’ve been digging out those invasive millety grass plants whilst wearing 5 layers! Valkyrie
Rain this morning but fairly pleasant sun and cloud. Not sure if it rained - the gale force wind blew it all away too quickly! Brrrrr cold!
The Dogmother
Been down at my folks place today for my Dad's birthday; drove down in bitter cold, but lovely sunshine. Drove back through sunshine, snow showers and a blizzard!!!
Purplemaniacs
Quite an odd day weather wise. Very cold with a biting wind. Shot at the archery ground this morning for a competition, bitterly cold but sunny to start with, by 11.00 it had clouded over and we then had hail. On the way home I couldn't see across the valley. This afternoon we have had sun, rain, hail and snow. Just been out to the bin and it is frozen shut. Chrissie
