mullethunter
Yesterday in a rare occurrence the sun came out for a bit . The Pekins took the opportunity to do something they've never done before and hang out on their roof! You can just see the Wyandottes on their bench inside - they were a bit put out by the whole thing. I think Shelley looks a bit like a ghost chicken in the glare! Beantree
That's a very neat and tidy arrangement indeed Mullethunter. Ours is rather more 'organic', being a polite term for rather 'thrown together'.
mullethunter
Thanks Beantree. I was lucky really because moving to a new place with more or less blank lawn as a bare canvas I was able to go in with exactly what I wanted first time. It was hard work removing the turf and laying the membrane / sand / slabs, but I'm glad I did it because it's been so wet and the woodchip on slabs has been brilliant. Does anyone else have random photo's of their girls?
Luvachicken
Aww mullethunter, your 2 look just like my lavenders and Gemma, unless it is the light on my screen It must be lovely having a new garden and doing exactly as you would like to it I bet they must all love it being able to potter about outside - something mine have never done. Do pop any more photos on of their antics
Chickabee
Id like to say it looks like my set up however mines all covered in verdigris. Was going to ask how you keep your tarps so clean . My laced bantam and light Sussex bantam roost on the cube run which joins the WIR every night. The pekin screams at me when I put her to bed (noisy one I inherited but love her to bits)
Chickabee
This is the triplets (columbian blackmails). They roosted up here every night during the summer until I moved their house next to the pond
