Sooo much pooping

I've had to buy eggs for a while but none of them taste like mine

The shop ones are pale and tasteless regardless of whether they are free range, free to roam etc.

Even some I bought form the farm shop weren't all that special.

 

Where can I get get some lovely eggs until my girls get back in to production ?

I gave up buying chicken eggs prior to having my own chickens due to the lack of taste and the stagnant pondwater odour from them. I swapped to duck eggs for years and they were much better. I used to get them from Tesco or Morrisons (Posh Birds and there's another brand as well I can't remember).

I did use to do that but the people moved out with their chickens

We did also try a farmhouse with a sign hanging up outside but no one was in - might give them another try today though.

I haven't seen any other eggs at the gate in my area

I have tried Asda's free range and also Aldi, both have pretty good colour to the yolks, and the whites are very firm. I was pleasantly surprised.

 

I also found a local independant freezer/greengrocer shop that sells eggs, local ones and they are OK too.

Sadly our local greengrocer closed last year - they did use to sell eggs.

Tried again at the farm with the sign but there is never any sign of life and definitely no one there today.

 

Think my Mum and Dad are going to get some eggs for me from their local farm, just it's an hour for us to pick them up but never mind, it will be nice to have some tasty eggs.
