GQsm
Saw a fresh stool today and collected it a few minutes later looking for worms as we do time to time. This time saw some other insects. I would describe them as kind of fluorescent white colour, have 6 legs I think, two thick antennae and crawl quite quickly. Longest was probably 3mm, some were smaller. They seemed to come from inside the poo but I cannot be 100% certain I didn't scoop up some other old matter from the run floor. I will check for more later. Picture attached. Anyone any idea what they are?
Hippie Chick
I'm very close to being sure that these are springtails. If so, they have definitely been attracted to the droppings after they've been pooped out! Hopefully this link will work - have a look and see if you think they're the same http://bugguide.net/node/view/253159
The Dogmother
Those are they! I have noticed them before, and looked them up for an ID; I wouldn't worry
