10 puppies and us

Recommended Posts

Anyone watching this?

On the one hand I think it's good that they show the ups and downs and fight the idealistic image of having a puppy. On the other hand, I struggle with the lack of intervention with some of the puppy owners...

Watching a lady take a 8 week old puppy home on a two hour train ride without a cage/lead/blanket/food/water/anything is frustrating to watch. The second she left the breeder you know that puppy is doomed to a life if misbehaving and unwanted behaviour.

There was some similar program before.

The 2 children desperately wanted a puppy so the parents got one.

They were very excited for the first couple of days but then went back to their playstations etc and the poor puppy got very bored and naughty.

The poor little thing had asked to go to the toilet but everyone ignored it's yelps to ask so it pooped on the carpet.

I wonder what it's life is like now.

There was a lot of pooping on carpets here too. And lots of yelling because of it...

The lady I described got a Leonberger puppy and when it was 13 weeks, had never left it alone ever... she worked from home and couldn't even go the bathroom alone... really... what are these people thinking.

On the one hand, her story is a good deterrent, but the program makers knew what was going to happen from day one...

their 'expert' sorted her out in the end

and as DM said the production company edited the show to get the results they wanted as they do with all these type of programs just enough clips to make the viewers want to 'slap' the owners early on then plenty of soppy more or less trained behaving nearly adult dogs at the end with lots of nice lover-able sweet puppy scenes in the middle

Dunno. But they did make a new programme out of this one (choosing the right puppy for you). Same bits of video, same puppies, but without the “mistakes” and without the lady with the leonberger.
