Helicopter hens!

I was looking idly at the honeysuckle on the side of the house this weekend, just wondering why it only had berries high up when it had been covered in flowers earlier in the year...

then Paris wandered over, stood next to me - and literally did a Harrier Jump Jet move to pick the berries off!!! SOOO funny!

our chickens jump too! :D

 

very funny when we put greens on top of the run... first they eye it up then BOING! :D:D

 

they also jump at the garden wall and knock snails off! :D

Reading this sort of thing gives me reat ideas for making our yet-to-be-made run lots of fun for the girls.

I have a plant on a pedestal in the garden - they girls love to jump for the overhanging flowers. It's soo funny to watch them even if the plant is a bit sparce!!

My Bobbi chicken has started jumping up on the wheely bin, then up on the fence and onto the garage roof.

 

We're a bit worried she has been watching chicken run!!!

I would hate to worry you, & I very well may be wrong, but I thought Honeysuckle berries were poisonous.

Of course,hens generally avoind things that are bad for them, but it might be worth looking in to :?:D

My girls have spent the summer jumping for runner beans, raspberries and tomatoes and are now doing it for the blackberries. As you say, looks hilarious - specially when they land on top of one another! :lol:
