chuckmum6 2 Posted April 6 I have a new mini flock and my little gold partridge Wyandotte, has increasingly been scratching both sides of her head. I noticed this early on and have seen it increase over the week, I have looked in her ears and around her head and can see nothing untoward, like lice etc. I will have her in again tonight to look more closely in her ears, but I am not too sure what to do with her. I might try a little warm oil on a cotton bud? She is otherwise fine and behaving normally. Any ideas most welcome.
Cat tails 936 Posted April 6 You could treat her with something like Ivermectin to get rid of any creepy crawlies.
Tillachooks 0 Posted April 6 I’d probably go with some xeno drops as more likely to be parasitic than anything else I’d have thought
mullethunter 602 Posted April 6 I’d be going ivermectin too.

chuckmum6 2 Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Yep, I did buy her some ivermectin, just in case, although she has now stopped fortunately. I had given her tiny drops of warm oil in her ears, which seems to have sorted it or dislodged something!
