Hen scratching her ears.

Recommended Posts

I have a new mini flock and my little gold partridge Wyandotte, has increasingly been scratching both sides of her head. I noticed this early on and have seen it increase over the week, I have looked in her ears and around her head and can see nothing untoward, like lice etc. I will have her in again tonight to look more closely in her ears, but I am not too sure what to do with her. I might try a little warm oil on a cotton bud? She is otherwise fine and behaving normally. Any ideas most welcome.

I’d probably go with some xeno drops as more likely to be parasitic than anything else I’d have thought :)

As far as I google could find “xeno drops” I gather they contain ivermectin.
