Guest
I am planning ahead and thinking of replacing my current WIR after the first winter in new house (if anyone ever buys this house grrr ). I like the look of the flytes of fancy protection pen. Does anyone have one of their runs (only interested in runs as I am keeping my cube ) or seen one in the flesh that would recommend them? Unfortunately the Omlet run will not be suitable. I have ordered various items and made inquiries from the company in the past and found their customer service to be good but obviously the run costs lots of money so want to be sure it is the bees knees. chickenanne2
I don't have the "Protection pen" but I do have a house and run from Flyte so fancy, which is about 7 years old now, and still going strong. The frame is made of pressure treated timber, so where it's in contact with the ground you need to be prepared to treat it with preservative occasionally, unless you raise it off the ground (eg on sleepers or paving slabs). I think this is pretty standard. The mesh has been upgraded since we bought ours; however our mesh is still rust-free and robust. The customer service was FAB - when I ordered I used the postcode for our old house by mistake. I called them on the day of delivery to explain, but they'd already sorted it out when they were sorting out delivery arrangements. I'd really recommend them (but bear in mind has been 7 years or so since I bought from them!).
SuburbanChick
I can't comment on Flyte so Fancy chicken runs but I can comfirm that the customer service is still absolutely fantastic. I have ordered all sorts of essential chicken items from them over the past few months and their efficiency is just amazing. I placed an order with them on Friday p.m. and it arrived this morning just after 9 So nice to deal with a company like this and pretty unusual in this day and age! Guest
Thanks Omleteers. I sent FoF an email enquiry and was very impressed with the response. I may persuade Hubby that we need a few days in Dorset just so we can see a run in the flesh, I don't doubt their quality but being self assembly I always think seeing the item fully built always helps when trying to build it.
