The Bantam of the Opera Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 one of my chicks started acting strangely this morning, it only walks sideways, to the right, and makes its way round the enclosure leaning against the wall of the run. sometimes its head twitches that way too. it is still eating and seems alert so i assume it feels okay. im fairly sure this isnt something it was born with, because its about a week and a half old and i spend so much time watching them that im sure i woudlve noticed it before now. i know it sounds silly but my mum developed a really bad ear infection yesterday could she have passed it on to the chick? i'e heard that sets you off balanace. also should i seperate the chick? if there's no helping it i have a freind who can deal with the unpleasant consequences. thanks for any advice you can give.
