4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Rosie has been acting a little strange lately, a few weeks ago in the evening she stopped running around and pushed her bum up in the air and stayed like that until bed time, she had already laid an egg that morning and the next day she had laid an unformed egg in the night, the same thing happened on Sunday.

Tonight she is doing the same thing and I have noticed there is a red ring around her vent and she looks really uncomfortable. Is this normal as I also have a pepper pot who has never gone through this? Any ideas would be welcome.

Perhaps someone else with more experience will be along soon and can help with the red vent question. Maybe a Mod move your post to the chicken clinic section where more help might be sought.

Ive read your reply to Martin and followed the link and it looks like this is the same prob, went out half hour ago to see Rosie eating a softie and running round as if nothing had happend.
