gracefruit
We're picking up two girls on Wednesday -- a legbar and a leghorn. Does anyone have any tips for occupying one's mind so as not to obsess?
Egluntyne
How lovely. No tips re the obsessing. You could draw up a short list of names as a mini diversion.
Hen Watch
We're picking up two girls on Wednesday -- a legbar and a leghorn. Does anyone have any tips for occupying one's mind so as not to obsess? No tips sorry...... but obsessivness is normal...... I thought about chickens for the whole 4 weeks mine were on order and spent every day reading this forum. Still spending far too much time on this forum even 15 months on, so I'm afraid the forum gets addictive too. Roll on Wednesday (only 3 sleeps to go..... )
jools+6
just obsess .. sleeping pills might help , or vast quantities of alcohol ! but i'm afraid apart from that you're goosed !!!
gracefruit
Thanks for the tips! I decided to pass the time by stripping the wallpaper in the kitchen and then painting. Hoo boy. It's kept me from obsessing, but it's not been much fun. If hell is personalised, I will be stripping wallpaper over the lake of eternal fire! Abbey Road Girl
I suppose you could try pouring a glass of wine and reading War and Peace from cover to cover. In Russian. (I'm not sure whether there are any chickens in it though...)
