Buying a trio...

Recommended Posts

I have been offered a trio of bantams, they look lovely but what are the practicalities of adding them to my flock?

They are bantams (and are beautiful) and I have 6 hybrids already. I would house them seperately but they could run together in the garden.

Is it usual to keep a cockrel with two females (we're very rural).

Does anyone have any experience, if it was two girls it'd be great but as they're a trio I'm a bit apprehensive. Would the cockrel just hang out with his girls and leave the others alone?

Sorry for being daft!
