4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I got given 4 new chickens today. Started off with 3 and now up to 9 How addictive are they lol. OH's friend got them in the summer but has decided they are too much hard work in the winter so asked if we wanted them. They came with their own coop and we've put a temporary run on the outside while all the girls get used to each other. It's right up against my exisitng run. I knos 3 of them are gingernuts, but the other I have no idea what she is I have seen pics on here of one, but can't find it. She's pure white, and little, with a little fluffy 'mohican' on the top of her head. I will get a pic tomorrow, but anyone any ideas what she could be?

has the one with a funny hair got five toes and is really fluffy if so then she is a silkie

looked at pics of silkies and not sure tbh. I didn't notice her feet actually lol, so will have to check in the morning.

well, I couldn't wait until the morning, so just went up in the dark to the back of the garden with a torch And yes she does have 5 toes, so she must be a silkie Obviously just in need of a good wash and blow dry If it's dry tomorrow I will give it a go.

You are so lucky, why can't anybody give me chickens, *stamps foot* .

 

I'm not allowed anymore chooks but "resue" chooks or "chickens of fate" would be allowed. It's just not fair. I must start saving more quickly for my cube, .

lol, I feel so guilty now I only started chicken keeping in the summer, with 3 COF. Then when one died, I bought my other 3 girls from a farmer who was giving up keeping chooks, and now these 4 girls. But I draw the line here. My neighbours would have a fit if anymore came although OH's friend was also looking for a home for his 2 ducks
