SnowWhite
I was really sorry to hear about Stewie. It is horrible when you lose a pet that you love like a friend. It's one of those things that you can never get used to, it always knocks you for six. I know that you will want to give Peter and Dylan the best possible life and they are very lucky to have you to looking after them. GI stasis confusing and frustrating because sometimes you just can't find the cause. Whatever you do, don't blame yourself and concentrate on all the happy memories you have of Stewie. I hope that Mairwen at Cottontails can give you the information you need. Let us know how you get on.
Victoria Goren
We took Dylan to the vet but he's fine (we're a little paranoid) and the vet told us that she had planned to send Stewie home on the Saturday he died because he was doing so well. And he just died so we think it was maybe a heart attack that actually killed him.

Victoria Goren
Just as post note to ths we have brought another bunnie, not to replace Stewie because that would be impossible but because we seemed to have a connextion with him. He is 9wk old dutch, grey and whte and we have called him Benjamin Rabbit. He is so small. He is indoors till after spring and runs round the house. he is going in 3 wks for the start of his jabs. The other two well one is eating hay and the other little blighter is playing hard to please. Tuf love is the order of the day! no one seems to be able to say how much (grams) Benji should be having but he eats lots and lots of hay...any ideas???? jenuk99
Would be lovely to see pics of the new bunny, I think I was told a handful about the size of the rabbit a day is recommended. But Mac didn't eat much hay until I got Dougal and he has encouraged her appitite (sp) so maybe with a bit of time and help from the new arrival it should settle down.
