Lady Legbar started laying this week, today would have been her 3rd egg.. however when there wasn't a lovely blue egg next to Ginger's brown one in the cube this morning, I thought maybe she was having a day off.

 

However, I have just found the crushed remains of a blue egg in the walk in run :(

 

Could she have laid it here instead and its been trampled on? Or might I have an egg eater?? :shock:

 

It wasn't 'wet' at all.. perfectly dry shell, crushed but held together still by the membrane.. so maybe that would indicate it was laid elsewhere ad the remains were carried by one of the hens to the walk in run??
