If she is hunched and quiet it could be worms and if they havent been wormed recently a course of worming would be a good idea. Give her the once over for lice (I found lice on a quiet hen once ) Keep an eye on her, if she goes downhill or gives you cause for concern/ refuses to eat or drink a trip to the vets next week might be a good idea. Guest Posted February 21, 2009 Share Posted February 21, 2009 all you can really do is give her a check over. Does her crop feel normal or too soft/too hard? Is her breathing okay, no wheezing or rattling? do her eyes and nostrils look clear, any signs of any discharge? does she have lice/mites?
