Keep reading about bumper bits get the jist of what it tis but if there are any pics of them assume to stop pecking other birds?

Sorry, I can't help with a pic. Bumper bits (in lieu of Egluntine's informed reply) are plastic triangular shaped thingies which fit inside the chicken's mouth like a horse's bit fits inside its mouth. The wide ends fit into it's nostrils.

 

It's also a bit like the bumper on a car--gets in the way of feather pecking but doesn't stop the chicken from drinking and eating as normal. They are supposed to biodegrade and eventually fall off after discouraging the offending behaviour.

 

I haven't been able to fit them myself so have asked for help.

Thank you very much putting my horses bit in will seem a piece of cake looking at this contraption but its not what i expected! Think a couple spare may be useful just in case to nip it in the bud
