I'm not sure if chicken's nails are the same as ours and dogs etc, i.e should they be clipped ever? Sorry if this is a really silly question.

I don't think they should. If they free range they should wear their nails down, my girls are on the patio with hemcore in the run so as they scratch abolut they wear their nails down. I've never cut my girls nails. Nothing is a silly question I've had my girls just over a year now and am eternally grateful to this forum for answering any questions.
