Hi I'm new to this site

One of my chicks seems to have decided not to lay me any eggs this is a recent thing just the last few days but it is unlike her.She is fifteen months old and seems her usual cheerful self other than she as a bit of the squits she goes to the nest box as usual nests for a while as if she is laying then leaves the nest but no egg.Seems to be eating her mash as normal and scratching around and eating what ever she finds I've stopped all treats at the moment but I don't know what else to do.

am no expert but long as she is happy just keep an eye on her. I would also just check that her crop is empty in the mornings, just to be safe & to stop you worrying, then if at any time you find it's not, then think about a stuck egg. She might just be having a litlte break, but at least you will be on the ball. People with more youngsters expperience will be along soon.I have only exp with ex bats which come with their own problems in the egg laying dept. bless em

Have you tried worming her.

I had a drop in egg production a year after I had mine. Never seen any worms in poo, gave them Flubenvet wormer just in case and saw dead worms come out in their poo. I now use it every 3 months.

Have you checked her for lice/mites?

My Stella went to the vets on Monday this week as she (age 2) wasn't laying and had rattely chest and needed antibiotics. May be worth considering getting her looked at.

It's hard to tell what's up with chickens isn't it. Someone else may pop along with better advice soon.

PS. Welcome to the forum.
