When we first started keeping hens one year ago, we had no idea where to buy them from (or even what we were buying)! We looked at a local well-known farmpark, but they didn't seem particularly experienced in their knowledge of breeds or even how to keep hens. We eventually found Merrydale Poultry www.merrydalepoultry.co.uk who are based in Leicester, and I would strongly recommend them. Its less than an hour's drive down the M1, and definately worth it.
