We're not Broody anymore

Recommended Posts

My Orp and Silkie have been broody for ages - so finally yesterday we got tough. We dunked them both in cold water  . (Thanks for posting pics of your dunking Quickcluck)

If that didn't work we told them they were heading for a broody cage. :shameonu::shock:

Alice was a good girl after her cold bath and stayed out free ranging all day yesterday and got up this morning just like her old self, her comb already looks redder which I understand is a sign that she is getting over it. :)

Mary needed a second dunking :( later in the day when we found her snuggling down in the run and today she got up got as good as gold :)

OH & I have been out today and quite expected to come home this afternoon to find them snuggled in the nesting box but they weren't they were happily scratching in the run :D Wohoo :D

Now all I need is for them to start laying again. :)

Ohhh thanks, that is soooo funny with the little yellow ducks - my Sophie will be going that way if she doesn't come to her senses very quickly this week :D I must take the computer out to show her!!!
