fluffychick
Hello Has any one got any experience using those ultrasound electronic devices to control rats in the Hen Shed. We are often infested with the rat population that stems from the neighbouring farm. We normally control them by poison, but now our hen population is growing and we are now using more sheds I am wondering if one of these devices would help protect our young chicks from the rats and if they do effect the hens with the noise they emmitt. cockadoodle1
I have an electronic pest controller and hang it up in the roof of my cube they are not designed for outdoor use but mine is covered with the omlet winter cover. So far no sign of any rodents and I'm sure if there had been it would have been in the kitchen in front of the breakfast cereal cupboard as the cats used to do when we had mice in the geenhouse. this is in spite of me telling them that I only like cornflakes in the morning
Guest
I tried one years ago so unless they have improved would stick with the bait. or get someone to pop them off safely of course. Good luck I just refilled my bait box as noticed a hole (ratty) so I use loose bait in a rentokil bait box...just keep persevering
