Dawn T-B Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 Hello everyone - some advice needed please? I have had my 6 hybrids since last September. They have regularly laid 6 eggs a day, occasionally we only get 5. Then yesterday we only got 2 eggs, and the same today I have been out and checked the field, no eggs anywhere else There food hasn't changed. I've picked them up and looked at each of them and they all seem fine. They free range all day from about 6.30am until 8.30pm. The only change is that we are a couple of weeks into the midge season where I live, but we haven't had many yet - will midges bother them and put them off laying? thanks Dawn Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dawn T-B Posted June 19, 2009 Author Share Posted June 19, 2009 I moved the a few days ago and started to get 4 eggs a day, but today, after bluebell had gone missing, I discovered her under my large hosta sitting on a nest of 16 eggs Will eating voles do any harm I caught the same bluebell swallowing one whole the other night when I was getting them in at bed time!!! cheers Dawn Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
