Clash City Rocker Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 We've been invited with some friends for 3 days (2 nights) pampering at Hoar Cross Hall Resort in Staffordshire this week. Don't know anything about it. Anyone been ? Any good? Yes, I believe there is a golf course nearby ... wouldn't know, I spent all my time in the spa downstairs. I've been to Hoar Cross Hall a couple of times and it's probably 2nd on my list of health spas, Ragdale Hall being No. 1 (and no, I'm not a spa junkie - it's usually only once a year, if that!) Very relaxing, unlike a lot of these places there is (or used to be) a bar so you could order drinks separately from the meal. Lovely stately-home type of place, very welcoming. The other difference between this and other spas was that it was used as a conference cente, I went midweek with three girlfriends and there was a JCB Conference going on. We ended up in the bar, drinking champagne and chatting to these guys, all good fun but not your usual health-spa thing, where people are in bed quite early.
