Polly Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 i introduced Milo and newbie jake yesterday and it went very well milo chases him around a bit but there is definatly no agression and when milo stops chasing him jake goes over nudges him and starts running away again as if he wants him to chase him. the only thing is milo trys to mount jake i have checked and jake is definatly a little boy is this normal?? he doesnt hurt him or anything. quick replies please :D xxxx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bigmommasally Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 Hi Polly The mounting is just Milo asserting his dominance over Jake. Don't worry it is normal. Usually when introducing bunnies its best to keep them in seperate cages/runs side by side for a while, until they get use to each other and then put them together on neutral territory. There will always be some mounting by one or both of the bunnies until they sorted out who's boss, you just need to keep a close eye on things to ensure things don't turn nasty.
