helen1962
Hi All I have had my hens 6 weeks now and today I have noticed small white cylindrical things in their pooh. I think it may be worms but I don't know. I religiously worm them monthly using verm x. I know they take their full dose because I put it in porridge that they eat with relish. Can somebody tell me if it is worms or is it something else. These cylindrical things are about 1mm long. In fact they look like creamy white insect eggs. Either way help is needed to diagnose so that I can treat. Thank you all
Egluntyne
Can you show a photo? If I were you I'd send a poo sample, including the suspicious object, to **Retford Poultry** to see if they can identify it. Verm-X is a herbal supplement which may assist in the creating of an environment in the gut that is hostile to parasites. Herbal supplements are not, legally speaking, allowed to call themselves 'wormers'. I would recommend Flubenvet, which is a wormer, if you think they may be infested.
