docsquid
Has anybody made home-made pot pourri? The reason I ask is that we recently had a tree cut down in our garden, and some pruning done, and we have a pile of wood chippings that have a beautiful scent (it is plum and cherry wood). We also grow a lot of lavender and rosemary. I was thinking of using the herbs and drying them, and then drying and scenting the wood and using this as a base to add the herbs and make porpourri, although some wood chip is likely to be used in the chicken run! I've found lots of recipes for potpourri, but none of them use dried wood, although they do use wooden balls. Does anybody have any ideas about this? We have access to other wildflowers and wood from another site too. Many thanks!
bluekarin
I have just found this http://www.ehow.com/how_4532115_make-wood-scented-potpourri.html Hope it's of some help Its a shame wood doesn't keep it's scent for longer. It always smells so nice when it's first cut.
