Old Speckled Hen
Has anybody bought a hive/parts from Fragile Planet? They do reclaimed wood and ply hives that seem really cheap. I've just made up one from Thornes in cedar and was looking for another.
MedusA
I haven't bought from them yet, but I do like their ethos of using reclaimed timber, so may do in the future. Our local BKA has a 10% discount with them, so I'd suggest you check with yours to see if they do too. If you go ahead, please do post back. I'd be really interested to see what their hives are like. beesontoast
Rather little of their stuff appears to be made from recycled timber. Beware the so-called 'Buckfast Bee' - they must be imported, as they certainly don't come from Buckfast Abbey any more, and I don't think anyone else in this country is breeding them. Old Speckled Hen
Thanks beesontoast. I have had poor reviews of their products from others since asking. I have found a flat pack national with top bee space from Park Hives so I may add that to my national. Now all I need is the course and the bees
