Guest
See http://bit.ly/3NLrxm Together we can help make 2010 the year that bees make their big comeback. Through Plan Bee we’re introducing lots of new ideas, activities and initiatives designed to give the bees a fighting chance. Guest
While a very worthwhile scheme the article does not appear to be too accurate. The section :Would-be beekeepers are sent on a free two-day course and, if they are interested, are provided with free kit, bees and an easy-to-use plastic "beehaus" hive. seems to have been reported completely wrongly. I am led to believe the hives supplied are wooden ones and the course is over ten weeks. Regards, RAB
MedusA
I was hoping to get some help from the Plan Bee initiative in setting up an apiary at our allotments, but unfortunately they are not covering the Birmingham area this year. We hope to go ahead anyway, having recently had the OK from our Allotment Liaison Officer.
