Barbra's poorly foot

Hello

 

Some of you may remember that our poor Barbra has had a growth on her foot :(. We took her to the vet to have it removed, but it's back. It just dawned on us however, that we're not sure about her eggs - are they safe to eat while she has this bad foot? If it's infected, does that mean her eggs aren't safe? Any advice anyone has would be very welcome indeed - thanks!
