alisonclair
Hi I adopted five ex-bats last September, and they have been pretty good layers since day 1. Sadly one of them died a few weeks ago, while I was on holiday, and the person looking after them kindly cleaned out the house, and buried my poor Nora. I have kept an eye on them since, and they all seem fine, including the cockerel that I also have. However, for the past three days I have had no eggs. Production slowed in March / April - I used to get 3 or 4 or day, which went down to 2, and while expecting to get less since Nora's passing, all of a sudden I don't appear to be getting any. They are fed layers pellets daily, with added poultry spice, and mineral powder. They also get a handful of corn in the afternoon, and greens. I wormed them all a couple of weeks ago with flubenet (or something like that). I also add Davinova C to their water, as I used to get a fair few soft shells. As far as I can tell none of them are in moult, or broody. Could this be the end of their egg-laying days? While its not important to me (they are my extended family ) I just want to know I'm not doing anything wrong. Thanks Alison Mummy to Rupert, Geri, Ethyl, Polly & Martha
