Hi,

 

I am looking for a reliable breeder who can supply pure breed miniature silver appleyard hatching eggs or duckilings. They are to join my apricot campbells and muscovy duck. I live in Derbyshire (Derby) so they would either have to be within travelling distance for the ducklings or be able to post the eggs to me. I've seen some on e-bay and wondered if anyone has any experience of purchasing eggs from the sellers currently on there.

 

I've hatched my own campbell eggs in the past with approx 90% success rate. I've read that the hatch rate of eggs sent through the post could be approx 40 - 50%. Is this about right?

 

Any advice would be greatfully received.

Daisy my min silver appleyard has a wk to go sitting on about 12 eggs dont think they will all hatch

they are stunning ducks very peaceful and friendly it is there first year at hatching

I'm really jelous after my Muscovy layed infertile eggs and then turned out to be a useless mother with the Campbell eggs. Are you planning on rehoming some of the appleyard ducklings that hatch. If so I'm definitely interested. I'm in derby (Derbyshire). Where abouts are you in the uk.

depending on how many hatch (If any ) as its her first time i will have to rehome some

i live between newcastle and Market Drayton so not far along the a50 i will keep you updated on any news
