foxychickjo
Hi, I am desperately after some help. I have 6 ex bats, 2 white sussex and 2 blubels. A few months ago, 1 of the ex-bats started wheezing and basically sounded like she needed a good cough. We took her to the vets who gave her a good check and a crop rub and basically couldn't find anything wrong and said to keep an eye on her. 2 days later she was fine and the wheezing/rattling had stopped. In the last month or so, nearly all the girls seem to have developed this wheeze. I have given them apple cider vinegar and grapefruit concentrate but none of it seems to help. I can't see any discharge and they are wormed every month with verm x. Egg production remains good and they are eating well and drinking loads. On Friday night, I noticed that Carmen, 1 of the ex bats was sat in a corner panting. The following morning we found that she had passed away in her sleep. Has anyone got any ideas about the fact that the majority of them sound as though they need a good cough? I'm not so worried about Carmen passing away as I think it was just her time unless of course it happens again. I'm stuck for ideas given the fact that the original wheezer had been to the vet and seemed ok. Thanks
